• A Study of the Interaction between Cement and Fatty Acids

    Amines, alcohols, fatty acids, lignosulphonates etc. have been empirically discovered as good grinding aids. We can consider two main mechanisms for the action of grinding aids. These are based on the decrease in the resistance to communition and on the prevention of agglomeration by shielding surface forces upon addition of a grinding aid.
